Family photo day...The Adams Family!

Today was the big family photo shoot day in Barrie.  Last Christmas Momma got a gift certificate for a one hour photo session from daughter Kim and family and today was the day for the event.  Tyler had to cancel due to unforeseen work pressure that demanded he be at the office...thanks Tim Horton's for that!  We decided "what the hay anyway"...we were long overdue for some formal shots and now with Marissa we are a complete family.  Momma wanted some "family of four" photos for her side of the family and thus we decided to go ahead and save the larger whole family photos for a later date.  The day started with Mark saying "Mommy my tummy doesn't feel too well"...followed by his first ever puke on the bathroom floor.  Thankfully it was on an empty stomach and consisted of only juice and saliva.  What a surprise for Mom as she has never seen this little guy actually puke.  In three years we have only had one band aid applied (more at Mark's request than for the need of it), and the two febrile seizures, a couple of colds, but never a sick tummy.  I could tell from Mark's reaction that he has no experience with this kind of event!  He was a trooper but it was kind of funny to see his surprised face at how his body had just done its own thing!  So a quick assessment of temperature which was fine and no other symptoms added to his demand for bacon we figured "Ok...I guess we are still on for today".  I could feel the beginning of a cold sore on my upper lip but fortunately it was only slightly swollen and not too obvious, mostly just painful and I am sure that it will be more of an aggravation than anything.  So we started out on the 401 with high hopes of getting this done without further grief.  By the time we hit London, Mark was asking for the puke bucket...how quickly they learn the drill, when he proceeded to give us back the two slices of bacon that he had demanded to have!  Ugh!  Not to be discouraged we forged on with him assuring us that he was "well now" and wanted to go.  This is how the day started!  So you will see a few samples of the day that Kim snapped for us.  I am really excited as I know that the photographer took so many that there will be lots to choose from.  I always laugh though when you see them as there is never the perfect shot with kids!  When the faces are perfect, the hands are in the pocket.  When the hands are just right, they are gazing into space.  When three are focused on the camera, one is gazing with his head in the clouds...and so it goes!  Good luck Marlene...I am sure that you will make us all look beautiful in the end.  Thank goodness for photo editing! Enjoy the samples:

I think that I like the one with the wall. Your faces right beside the kids. Happy Autumn Moon!
