Bye Bye Baby...Mark is officially a little boy!

Today Momma and Daddy had a very busy day.  With some angst on Momma's part we took the crib down and changed over the nursery furniture to Mark's new little boy set (minus the mirror on the dresser for now).  It is a lovely maple wood that Momma got from a friend and I am proud to say that it is all Canadian made!  This Momma hates consumerism and seeing things go to waste.  I am trying to leave a smaller ecological footprint!  Thus Mark's new room is set up with previously loved items.  I also found the most wonderfully hand made oak "treasure chest" for Mark to keep his precious items in.  Momma started him out by putting some of the souvenirs from China in there.  Mark seemed thrilled with his new bed and had to climb right in!  He especially loved the Scooby Doo sheets and his Buzz and Woody blanket.  He did ask for the Wiggles crib blanket as well so Momma put it on the foot end of the bed.  It seems that he needed to have his guitar for this momentous occasion so Daddy joined him with a little jam session.  Momma loves the first photo...it makes me think of what dreams this little man will dream while he spends time lying in his bed.  Momma also spent the day switching his dresser clothing over and getting out the summer shorts and shirts.  At three and a half, Mark can still fit into most of his size two shorts and shirts.  There are some things that he had to go up to a size three in but very little.  His feet are now a size ten!  Momma noticed how much longer he is as some of his pants are having to go because they are too short.  One thing is sure though...no matter how big Mark gets he will still fit on his Momma's lap.  I have left the rocking chair in his room for those times when we just need to cuddle and I put the music box on the headboard of the bed just in case he still needs it.  Sweet dreams son...you are this Momma's pride and joy!
