The cows are home!
Daddy brought the cows home today. Our one and only heifer all summer was very happy to see the herd come out of the trailer this evening. She has had a lonely ol' summer and was happy to see her Mommy and sisters all come back from their vacation at the breeding farm. Hopefully we will see more calves this spring. Mark was unsure with all the banging in the trailer and was a bit anxious that someone was going to get hurt. Once they were out and in the pasture he started calling like a pro! Kooboss, Kooboss, Kooboss....he is really good at it. They were happy to follow along the fence where we started to throw the fallen apples over to them. Mark is a natural with animals, so I hope that he will find a way to continue to enjoy them as he gets older.
