There she goes...no looking back!

Today was the first day that Marissa got to try out the new co-operative daycare that she will be attending next month when Momma goes back to work.  She was very excited and more than ready to have her day in the sun.  She has been quite jealous of her brother going to school and her and Momma having to go back home every day after we drop him off.  So when Daddy could not get away from an important meeting at work to look after Marissa while Momma took Mark to London for his eye specialist appointment, he took the opportunity to contact the day care and ask them if she could have a half day visit to get a chance to check out where she will be going when Momma goes to work. In fact it was a good idea because Momma had to get all of the paperwork filled out to get her registered which is something that I had been procrastinating on.  So today was her first day at Dutton Co-operative Day Care and she was thrilled.  So thrilled in fact that she was getting her coat on long before we even had to go.  I convinced her to have a nice breakfast of pancakes and bacon and to watch some of her Dora on television because we did not have to leave until 10:30 a.m.  Of course Momma had to capture the moments for her memory book.  When we arrived, Mark and Mommy took her in and off she ran.  I had to call her back because she did not even intend to say good-by to either one of us.  She was so excited, especially as they said it was almost time for lunch. She had quite the adventure and tells me that she had pizza for lunch and that she made puzzles but says that she did not make any friends.  In all a very successful visit.  She is so ready to go.  In some ways it breaks my heart.  Even though she loves her family very much she is anxious to see what else is out there.  "Oh the places you will go".  Child...it has only just begun.  I see the little wings are already poking up through your shirt. What adventures lie ahead for you girl?

Oh my lovely Marissa.  You will be a hard one to hold on to.  You have no idea how sweet and lovely you are.  You will be the one to come home with lots of stories to tell.  Your second name should be "Adventure".  Fearless.
