The most important promise of all...to God, we will raise a Christian family

Marissa was baptized on October 26th at the Dunwich United Church in Dutton.  A special thank-you goes out to everyone who came to witness the event.  A heartfelt hug and love is also extended to Marissa's other family the vanB's!!!  You started this fine young lady on her path to Christian service and we will carry the mission forward.  In this day and age it is wonderful to offer your children the belief that there is a higher power and their trust is well placed in His promises!  We have put our faith in His love and stood on His promise in our lives.  He knew our heart's desire and in His time His promise to us was fulfilled.  As I reflect on this moment I thank God that I had parents that loved me enough to also make a promise to God to raise me up in the faith.  As we go forward we pray for the health and strength to meet the challenge of parenting two wonderful children.  May they also come to know the Lord and feel His strength and comfort as they walk their path in life.
Marissa's other family...the vanB's.  May she always remember the Christian love you bestowed on her.  Your love made it possible for her to love us!

Thanks to Renee for this beautiful photo of Marissa in her Christening dress.
Thank-you to Daddy for singing our wedding hymn..."As the deer pants for the water"...it did not go unnoticed by Momma! xoxo

A special thank-you to Rev. Dan Mulema for your wonderful service and the beautiful way you welcomed Marissa into the church.  It was lovely to see her baptized even though she protested by saying "Your getting my dress wet!"  I assured her it was only water...but very important water blessed for the occasion.  What a wonderful special event in her life!

THIS was the entry that we were waiting for with bated breath, haha! Beautifully written as always Audrey, and we too see God's Plan in Marissa's life very clearly.
Being included in this special day means more than words can say, it is definitely a memory to treasure and savour! Thank you again for your thoughtfulness in including us, it means a lot.
Wishing you His continued blessings as you raise your precious children to know their Creator.
Love, all of the vanB's
