Welcome to our happy place!

These shots are from our Thanksgiving weekend.  The weather was so nice that we decided to take a ride on the hay wagon to our bush.  What a great time with the kids.  This has been a family tradition for the past few years now and this year the weather has been so nice that the bush visit was still very summer like without the plague of bugs.  Usually the walk is pretty open with lots of fallen leaves and wide open space but this time it was like summer.  It is at times like this that I feel that the purchase of the fifty acres was well worth the effort.  Here we can feel close to nature and teach the children how important it is to respect the trees, the forest floor creatures and to just enjoy the time of peace and solitude.  In the bush you are far from the busy day to day routines and other than using the phone to capture a few photos it is a "device free zone".  Enjoy the bush ...you are always welcome to come and join us.  Maybe, just maybe I will be able to find you a jack-in-the-pulpit, a mayflower or a trillium.  You can look but you cannot pick them.  I want to make sure that they will be here for years into the future for others to enjoy.
