So today is the day that Mark's life has forever changed as his glasses have arrived and we went for his first fitting.  He seemed quite smitten with the idea that he was getting glasses "like Daddy".  We kept chatting them up and telling him what a handsome man he would be and today we have the proof!  He is a handsome man!  My goodness son you are growing up way, way, too fast!  He was such a trooper and sat and stood still for all of the fitting adjustments.  Everyone in the store was openly awed by how much of a "grown-up" he was.  He walked from mirror to mirror looking at himself and declared very loudly "I like my glasses".  Phew what a relief.  He has kept them on all day and does not seem bothered by them at all.  Momma is happy because everyone knows you can never pick a fight with the guy wearing glasses because you know there is gonna be trouble for that.  Bravo son you look like a very smart lad indeed!
