Boxing Day at the cabin in the woods.
The weather has been just great for getting out to the back woods to have a bit of fun at the cabin. Prior to the arrival of Mark, Doug and I actually had one Christmas dinner in the cabin. Although pretty rustic, I am looking forward to when I am home full-time and can get down to doing the renovations that I would like to see. It will be nice when that happens to plan some over night campouts. Here are a few of the photos of our Boxing Day in the woods.
Daddy had to lead the troop until the little ones took over leading our great adventure.
Two happy kids out for some fun.
Could I ever tire of seeing this little face? Always ready with a smile and now we have discovered that a keen sense of mischief and playing tricks is part of his nature.
The tee pee is still standing after many years.
A walk through the woods is always fun when you can see more with the leaves on the ground.
Always followed by the mandatory jam sandwiches.
And a visit to our favorite tree. Can you see me? I can see you!
Hello Dad...always willing to lay down on his belly and play the game. Yep he is still on the other side.
And of course we had to go on a magic stump ride. Hang on we are taking off. Where do you want to go Dad? Mommy get on we are taking off!
Fly us home Mark. Wow, what an adventure. Now for the long walk back. More things to see. What a nice way to spend the afternoon.
