We are paying for piano lessons but Mark wants the "biolin"!

Mark is signed up for piano lessons with a lovely woman named Charlotte who also happens to be the local Baptist Pastor's wife...something we did not know when we made the appointment.  Anyway it is a match made in heaven so to speak and although Mark slept through the initial interview, he is talking about Charlotte as though he knows her!  We have stressed to his new teacher that we want her to "play" music with Mark so that he loves his visits and will learn music from the heart to the hands and not from the head to the hands.  Doug and I want him to love music and learn to express his feeling through whatever instrument he chooses.  I do not know if Mark will ever learn to speak a word of Chinese but with the gift of music he will be able to speak to everyone from his heart.  His natural talent and love seems to be evident.  Hopefully we can get this fixed on the blog so everyone can see the first time that Mark held his violin in his hands...brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat!  Do you have any idea son how much joy you have brought already...and it has only just started.  You are so loved!

A child certainly does bring an entirely new depth to your life, right? :) Loving reading about Mark as he grows and reliving a few memories of my own in the process. They grow up so fast!
